Observations:

The Promised Land was divided among the tribes, not including Reuben, Gad and half of Manasseh, who stayed on the east side of the Jordan River.

Joseph is buried with Abraham.

After Joshua's death, the Israelites begin to take their land from their enemies.

The third generation Israelites served other gods, so God let them be raided.

God raise up judges to fight for the people.

The First Judge
Israel did evil
They were given over to the king of Aram-naharain
8 years pass
Othniel is made the judge
They gain freedom
40 years of peace
Othniel died.

The Second Judge
Israel did evil
There were given over to the king of Moab
18 years pass
Ehud made judge
He kills the king of Moab and calls the army
Moab defeated
80 years of peace
Ehud dies.
